On the Move: Dec. 4, 2025

Cynthia Yeldell AndersonNashville Post

Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Glenn Capps as regional sales director for Tennessee and Kentucky within its Distribution department.

In his new role, Capps will be responsible for overseeing sales of the company's workplace insurance products to brokers, enrollment partners and customers across the region. Capps has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Prior to joining Boston Mutual Life, he held leadership and sales roles at companies including Horace Mann Insurance Company, Aflac, ABC Insurance Group, Great American Financial Resources, and Allstate Insurance Company.

He holds a Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS) designation and is licensed and serves as a registered investment adviser representative.

"I'm thrilled to join Boston Mutual Life and offer the company's competitive insurance portfolio to brokers and employers in Tennessee and Kentucky," Capps said in a release. "With a focus on making things easier for our customers, I'm dedicated to leveraging my expertise to deepen our broker partnerships and help their clients find insurance solutions that meet their – and their employees' – needs."

LaunchTN adds to team

Launch Tennessee has announced several new hires and two promotions.

The public-private partnership that supports business start-ups has hired Spencer Bowers as the associate director of development, Donna Ford as Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium operations coordinator, Reed Hooks as a capital associate, Mariel Liggin as assistant director of technology and research development and Jenn Ross as senior manager of event planning and activation.

The organization also promoted Ashlin Smith to network and talent programs director and Jay Teamer to capital associate.

All of the recent hires and promotions will work from Nashville, with the exception of Teamer and Ford.

Bowers leads individual giving initiatives, partnerships and growth. Prior to joining LaunchTN, he built experience in development, nonprofit management and stakeholder relations.

In Ford's new role, she supports the commercialization team with program implementation, data management, compliance, and internal process improvement. She joins LaunchTN following her retirement from the University of Tennessee after 14 years.

Hooks is responsible for the deployment of the InvestTN Fund, performing due diligence and managing the growing pipeline of early-stage startups. Prior to joining LaunchTN, Hooks worked in partnership development at a defense consulting firm.

Liggin's role includes advancing early-stage tech development by supporting companies in securing federal research and development funding and navigating commercialization pathways.

Ross oversees all facets of live event production. She joins the team from the Centennial Park Conservancy.

"Having the right team in place really makes a difference in how an organization operates," LaunchTN CEO Lindsey Cox said in the release. "I'm proud of the group we're building. As a relatively small team, we punch above our weight because of our work ethic, positive company culture, appetite for innovation, and visible impact we have on the state."

Capitol Christian Music Group adds new executive leadership

Capitol Christian Music Group has promoted three team members, in addition to adding one new hire, to its executive leadership team, according to Music Row.

Carlos Monnaco has been promoted to executive vice president of finance, and Garrett Davis has been named senior vice president of A&R, while CCMG radio promoter Elizabeth Brock has been elevated to vice president of national promotions, according to the publication.

Michael Fogarty has joined the company as vice president, digital marketing.

"I'm very excited to announce these promotions and new hires. I've seen firsthand their expertise, passion and excellence," Capitol Christian Music Group President Brad O'Donnell told Music Row. "Each of them is key to CCMG's future success, and I'm excited for the impact I know they are going to make in 2026."
