They join eight others from Northern Trust who have previously been elected ACTEC Fellows: Paul S. Lee, Regional Wealth Advisor; Svetlana V. Bekman, Senior Legal Counsel; Stacy E. “We are very pleased to have both Dan Lindley and David Diamond recognized as ACTEC Fellows. ACTEC is a professional society of peer elected trust and estate lawyers who have demonstrated the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience. David A. Diamond is the President of The Northern Trust Company of Delaware, a Delaware limited purpose trust company in Wilmington, Delaware. Prior to managing Northern Trust’s Delaware office, he served as the National Trust Specialist, developing client solutions involving Northern Trust’s Nevada and Delaware trust capabilities. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Diamond was an attorney with Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella (GF&M), where he focused on the unique aspects of Delaware trust law. Prior to practicing law with GF&M, Diamond was with J.P. Morgan for 25 years. There he began his career as a trust officer and ultimately served as Managing Director & President of J.P. Morgan Trust Company of Delaware. Diamond holds a law degree from The University of North Carolina School of Law and an M.B.A. and bachelor’s degree from The University of Miami. Diamond is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) and earned a STEP Certificate of Foreign Trust Management (With Distinction). Daniel F. Lindley has served as the Fiduciary Practice Executive for Northern Trust’s Global Family & Private Investment Offices group since April 2015. Prior to that he was Managing Director of the family office business for the EMEA Region, based in London. Lindley was the founding President of The Northern Trust Company of Delaware from 2005 to 2012. Before joining Northern Trust in 2005, Lindley was managing director in the Estate Planning Department of U.S. Trust. Prior to that, he was in private law practice in Delaware for 25 years, and authored some of Delaware’s seminal trust legislation, including its repeal of the Rule against Perpetuities in 1995 and its self-settled asset protection trust statute in 1997. Lindley is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Delaware. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Delaware State Bar Association and its Estates and Trusts section, the International Bar Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Planners. He is a frequent speaker on using trusts as a planning vehicle for U.S. and international families. Lindley has a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Williams College, Williamstown, Mass. Lindley is a trustee of the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington and chairman of the Finance Committee of the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of Delaware.
