New York City Bar Association Announces Leadership Changes

NEW YORK, June 15 -- The New York City Bar Association issued the following news release:

The New York City Bar Association has announced the results of its annual election to fill its leadership positions:

John S. Kiernan, Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, returns as President.

Elizabeth Donoghue, Himmelstein McConnell Gribben Donoghue & Joseph, returns as Vice President and is joined by Lisa E. Cleary, Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP, and Sharon L. McCarthy, Kostelanetz & Fink, LLP.

Damian Schaible, Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, returns as Treasurer.

Ira M. Feinberg, Hogan Lovells U.S. LLP, returns as Secretary of the Association.

The Executive Committee Class of 2021 is: Marjorie Peerce, Ballard Spahr LLP; N. Nate Saint-Victor, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC; Jeffrey Winn, Chubb Insurance Group; Mark W. Zeno, Center for Appellate Litigation.

Sarah L. Cave, Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, will serve as Chair of the Executive Committee and Muhammad Faridi, Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP, will serve as Secretary of the Executive Committee.

The City Bar's Executive Committee consists of 16 elected members, and six officers (who are ex officio members). The elected members of the Executive Committee are divided into four classes of four members each, with each class holding office for four years.

In keeping with the City Bar's diversity objectives, of the 22 members, it's almost evenly split among male-female; and approximately 45% are from historically under-represented groups. Of the new chairs who were just appointed, approximately 25% are from ethnic minorities, identify as LGBTQ or are disabled.
