AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ National Western Life Insurance Co. (NWLI) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $38.5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Austin, Texas-based company said it had profit of $11.19. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, came to $10.48 per share.
The insurance provider posted revenue of $247.8 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $107.3 million, or $31.23 per share. Revenue was reported as $874.4 million.
National Western Life shares have decreased slightly more than 6 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 4 percent in the last 12 months.
