Mississippi Insurance Agent Eugene Starks Named President of National Association of Health Underwriters

WASHINGTON, July 30 (TNSPer) -- The National Association of Health Underwriters issued the following news release:

Eugene Starks, a Mississippi-based insurance agent, was recently elected president of the National Association of Health Underwriters' Board of Trustees at its 91st Annual Convention.

"I have had the privilege of working closely with Eugene for several years and am awed by his ability to stand out as a leader among his peers," said Janet Trautwein, CEO of NAHU. "I have no doubt he will do great things as our next president."

Starks has spent over a decade as a Partner with Benefit Administration Services Ltd., an employee benefits TPA, consulting and brokerage firm in Ridgeland, Miss. He is also a Partner and Founding member of Acuity Group, a leading-edge agency that integrates innovative technologies across the HR and employee benefit spectrum.

Starks served as President of the Jackson Association of Health Underwriters from 2010-11 and President of the Mississippi Association of Health Underwriters from 2011-12. He also chaired the Health Underwriters Political Action Committee from 2015-16 before serving on NAHU's Board of Trustees as president-elect, vice president, treasurer and secretary.

Eugene holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute of Organization Management. Eugene resides with his family in Ridgeland, MS.
