Mighty Fire Breaker Rolls Out Its Wildfire Defense Program to Lower Risk of Loss from Wildfire with Green Fire Inhibitor Chemistry

PR Web

SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) May 10, 2021

Mighty Fire Breaker, LLC today officially announced the roll out of its proactive wildfire defense program aimed at helping property owners and fire service professionals lower the risk of loss from wildfires. Our goal at Mighty Fire Breaker® is to reduce risk of loss for property--either from wildfire embers or wood framed building fires--while we fight climate change through better fire science. "There are no guarantees in any wildfire defense, but the more proactive you get, the better chance you have of reducing your risk of loss during a wildfire event," says Steve Conboy, President of Mighty Fire Breaker®.

Mighty Fire Breaker®'s plant-based fire inhibitors and extinguishing agents contain only biodegradable, non-toxic ingredients that are effective at fire suppression and safe to use. Mighty Fire Breaker®'s independently-tested fire inhibitor chemistry is designed to break the free radical chain in fire, creating a fire break that makes it extremely difficult for embers and fire to remain ignited. By helping to shut down wildfires faster, we can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants resulting from wildfires.

To support property owners, Mighty Fire Breaker® began training independent applicators during the summer of 2020. These applicators are trained to implement our proactive wildfire defense program from San Diego to Napa. Our No Short Cut approach is to harden (prepare) structures before a wildfire event occurs, based on an assessment of each property's unique risks. "Our Mighty Fire Breaker® No Short Cut wildfire defense program does not count on 'just in time' private firefighters, who use foam and handheld tools to save homes. We count on real, applied fire science," says Steve Conboy, President of Mighty Fire Breaker®. Mighty Fire Breaker®'s fire inhibitor is safe to use around landscaping, pets and humans, and there is no clean up and no odor. No Short Cut recommendations to homeowners for lowering risk of loss may include:

  • Spraying our MFB-31 fire inhibitor during hot months in areas around the home that pose the greatest risk, such as dry vegetation, patio covers, decks, garden bark, and fences.
  • Creating a perimeter around your home with our rooftop, self-powered Locked-N-Loaded sprinkler system equipped with our MFB-31 fire inhibitor, a line of defense that is put into action by the property owner when asked to evacuate. After the system saturates structures and areas around structures, the fire inhibitor remains effective, clinging even when dry. Pinpoint location tracking enables insurance providers to know which homes are defended 24/7, twelve months out of every year.
  • Blocking embers by retrofitting roof, gable end, soffit, and crawl space vents with with Mighty Fire Breaker®'s State Fire Marshall-approved ember blockers by Vulcan Vents.
  • Creating fire breaks by removing combustibles from around the home, including easy ignition trees and piles of firewood next to the defended structure.

Applicators and others can use Mighty Fire Breaker®'s MFB-31 fire inhibitor to treat eco wood mulch that can then be applied under power towers and on the sides of roads to create long lasting fire breaks, including important evacuation routes from rural communities. Fire breaks can be sprayed around vineyards, using crop dusters and drones. After Mighty Fire Breaker®'s fire inhibitor saturates brush, trees, structures and areas around structures, the fire inhibitor remains effective, clinging even when dry, and continues to shut down wildfire's ability to advance.

To support fire service professionals, large volumes of MFB-31 can be sprayed to create fire breaks using backpack sprayers, air tankers or ground resources (such as tanker trucks with atomizing cannons). Spraying MBF-31 works faster than digging fire breaks and causes less body stress for our brave firefighters while promoting the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants caused from wildfires.

Mighty Fire Breaker® also makes consumer products, including its Holiday Tree Spray, Plumber Spray and Camper Spray.

At Mighty Fire Breaker® we support the efforts of the Environmental Defense Fund to protect our air and water (at https://www.edf.org/). Our ingredients are exclusively plant-based because we believe that where and how fire chemistry is used does matter, to life on earth today and in the future.
