MidAtlantic Farm Credit Announces Academic Scholarship Program for 2015

PR Web

Westminster, MD (PRWEB) September 30, 2014

MidAtlantic Farm Credit will be awarding $18,000 in scholarships to those who plan to or are currently continuing their education as full-time students at a college, university, or technical school. The applications, along with all required supplemental materials, are due by January 16, 2015.

MidAtlantic Farm Credit's scholarship program is available to high school students or those currently enrolled in a two or four year collegiate program. The applicants or their parents or guardians must be members of MidAtlantic Farm Credit to be eligible. The selections will be based on the applicant's record of academic success and participation in extracurricular activities.

"Each year, our scholarship program receives numerous applications from talented students across our territory," says Bob Frazee, CEO of MidAtlantic Farm Credit. "We take pride in being able to help them further their education and reach their goals."

Selections will be made by February 20, 2015. The scholarships will be awarded to the winners at the cooperative lender's Annual Stockholder Meetings. Applications can be found in any MidAtlantic Farm Credit office or online at http://www.mafc.com/scholarships.
