Meridian Insurance Solutions Helps Generation X and Baby Boomers Create Long Term Tax-exempt Retirement Income

PR Newswire

BOCA RATON, Fla., June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Meridian Insurance Solutions & Retirement Planning, based in South Florida, helps Generation X and Baby Boomers plan for retirement using alternative investment strategies.

Larry Goldstein, the president of Meridian Insurance Solutions, learned the hard way in 2008 that investing primarily in the stock market is not the best strategy for creating long-term retirement income.

"People have short memories and they've forgotten what happened to them in 2008 or 2009," said Chartered Financial Consultant Larry Goldstein. "I have a vision and passion to squash the misconception that surrounds retirement plans these days."

"The Wall Street machine brainwashes people into thinking they'll always make money in the market and they'll protect your assets. I educate people that there is another alternative, a better asset class, which is a way to protect your retirement savings and generate a lifetime stream of income that you can never outlive. A lot of people are not knowledgeable about retirement planning. The more I can educate people, the more I can help them and that's my passion."

Robert Kiyosaki, best-selling author and financial literacy advocate, echoes Goldstein's statements on the importance of becoming educated in financial planning options. He stated, "If you want to thrive in today's economy, you must challenge the status quo and get the financial education necessary to succeed."

Goldstein points out that in the new age of retirement planning, longer life expectancies require a different approach or people may run the risk of outliving their retirement income. People need to be more proactive, not reactive, as they create a personal pension plan. One aspect that people often ignore is creating tax-efficient income.

"People don't think about tax implications when they're planning for retirement. I eliminate and pay attention to tax efficiencies and almost eliminate any tax burden when they're 65 or 70. I can structure plans and benefit packages where they don't pay any taxes so there are no tax consequences to that individual or family when they retire. I'm all about cash flow and income, rather than accumulation of assets," shares Goldstein.

According to Goldstein, it's important to have a diversified portfolio which includes income-generating investments and not rely primarily on the stock market. People forget that, historically, bull and bear markets follow each other in a predictable manner. If someone is ten to fifteen years away from retirement, they may not have the time to recover from the next bear market which is approaching.

Goldstein offers a common sense approach to retirement planning to ensure enough income to maintain their lifestyle and fully enjoy retirement, however long that may be.
