Meridian Health Plan Rated Among Top Medicaid Plans in Michigan and Illinois

Meridian Health Plan is the only plan with a 4 out of 5 overall rating across all Medicaid product lines in Michigan and Illinois, according to NCQA's Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2017-2018: Medicaid.

Meridian Health Plan of Illinois, Inc. is the highest rated Medicaid plan in Illinois with an overall rating of 4 out of 5. High performance in prevention for infant well-child visits and for women's reproductive health, as well as high performance in treatment, attributed to the top rating.

Meridian Health Plan of Michigan, Inc. is also rated 4 out of 5 overall. The plan's performance in prevention and treatment showcased its focus on prevention for infant and adolescent well-child visits. Meridian Health Plan of Michigan, Inc. had higher performance in prevention and treatment than any other plan with a membership of more than 500,000.

In addition to being rated 4 out of 5 across all Medicaid plans, Meridian Health Plan of Michigan, Inc. and Meridian Health Plan of Illinois, Inc. both achieved an Accreditation status of "Commendable" for the 2017-2018 Medicaid HMO product lines.
