NEW YORK, March 7 -- New York Mayor Bill de Blasio issued the following statement on House Republicans' efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act:
"Repealing the Affordable Care Act, which has brought quality health care and financial stability to tens of millions of people, would be a disaster for New Yorkers.
"While the Affordable Care Act asks wealthy Americans to pitch in to make sure everyone has access to health care, the Republican bill does the opposite.
"The rich get a tax cut and working families pay more for less care. Now that they're finally being honest about their plan, it's time to build a grassroots movement to stop it."
