LONDON, England, Oct. 1 -- Liberty Specialty Markets, a specialty and commercial insurance and reinsurance provider, which is a part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, issued the following news release:
Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has strengthened its London-based financial institutions (FI) team with a series of promotions and new appointments.
Sam Adamson has been promoted to Underwriting Manager - Financial Institutions, UK and Ireland. He was formerly a senior underwriter within the team.
Sam Adamson said: "Our FI account is one of the largest and longest standing in the market. Having been there for our clients throughout the financial crisis and years of recovery since, we've built a reputation as a reliable partner for our brokers and insureds."
Adamson has appointed two new senior underwriters for FI: Pavittar Bansel, who joins from Sompo International, and Joe Dearsley, who joins from AXIS. Another underwriting position is in the process of being filled.
Sam Adamson added: "FI remains a challenging class, but at Liberty we believe conditions are right to invest in our team and build a strong basis for the future development of our book. That's why we're excited to have Pav and Joe join us, complementing our team's existing talent and experience."
Adamson has been with Liberty Specialty Markets since 2012. He was previously with Travelers as an FI underwriter.
Pavittar Bansel has held FI underwriting positions with Sompo International, Endurance Worldwide and Chubb. He has nine years' experience in the London insurance market.
Joe Dearsley began his insurance career with Liberty Syndicates in 2010 before joining AXIS, where he ultimately became senior underwriter for FI.
