It could happen
to any of us
Recently, on a walk along a wide spot in the road, I found a wallet. It had a woman's driver's license (current) along with her insurance cards, book store credit, debit card,
I spent some time with the phone book, finding others with the same last name; no help there. A house guest tried to find her on Facebook; no luck. As my visitors were on their way to Volcano, they helpfully segued and left a note at her address. Bingo. We made contact and it all worked out. (Otherwise, I was going to take it to the police station.)
We all have insurance, hoping "this will never happen to me." The moral of the story is: make sure your phone number, or the number of someone who knows how to find you, is in your wallet, just in case. Wouldn't hurt to have that detail visible on your phone, too.
