Leap Taps Top Real Estate, Ad Tech and Marketing Leadership Following High-Growth Forecasts

PR Web

NEW YORK (PRWEB) July 11, 2018

Leap, the newest disruptor at the intersection of insurtech and real estate tech, has expanded its leadership team in response to forecasts for fast growth in rent guaranty technology. Investment in new financial technology and insurance technology such as Leap's is expected to rise to over $3.6 billion per year in the next two years - a huge "leap" from just $600 million in 2014! As a result, real estate and ad tech innovators Michael Davies and Adam Meshekow have joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Growth Officer, respectively.

Leap's Founder and CEO, Rory O'Connell, founding COO of the category-first Insurent more than a decade ago, quickly amassed $2 million in seed money for the start-up earlier this year. Recently, it launched a truly cutting-edge rent guaranty product that gives consumers new and better options when choosing an apartment and a neighborhood. Using advanced, proprietary credit-scoring models, Leap underwrites tenants and writes insurance policies for landlords, concentrating on Gen Z who will soon represent 30 percent of all renters in New York City and who favor renting over home ownership. The program's consumer-friendly applications are uniquely accessible by smartphone and easily completed within five minutes, with no fee to apply. Approval results are communicated in less than 30 minutes using criteria that may be compared to credit standards employed by banks for credit card applications.

"Leap's Rental Access program is an Advanced Underwriting-driven solution that ushers an antiquated real estate industry into a technologically savvy era of smartphones and always-on wireless connectivity," explains Mr. O'Connell. "Michael and Adam will be at the forefront of delivering product value to our millennial and Gen Z demographic while maintaining a competitive edge in the rent guaranty space."

Over the last 10 years, Michael has represented national landlords like Equity Residential and Steadfast Management in increasing operations capacities. He has a proven record of driving revenues, reducing expenses, and leading highly effective and engaged teams. In his new role, Mr. Davies will be responsible for leading operations and management efficiencies, building and improving operational infrastructure, and fostering relationships with our client base. "As a long- time industry insider, I am excited to finally see disruption in the multifamily marketplace. We offer a new product that so many consumers need, especially in high barrier-to-entry markets. Prospective residents are often so limited in their living options, and not because of a lack of supply. That's where we come in. We greatly expand the apartment options, giving renters greater access to live where they want. It's a game changer."

Mr. Meshekow is an industry expert in advanced targeting and digital marketing with over 10 years of experience growing business lines across both small and large Fortune 200 companies. He has excelled in multiple leadership roles driving consumer marketing, building business development and partnership teams, and building and growing technology-driven, solution-orientated businesses. In his new role, Mr. Meshekow will be responsible for leading marketing and business development teams, developing marketing initiatives to drive consumer and partner value, along with developing and growing new products and revenue streams. "As I have first-hand experience of how technology has drastically changed the marketing industry on both the brand and advertising technology side, I am extremely excited to be at the forefront of how it can disrupt the antiquated insurance and real estate industries. Our first product provides unprecedented value across the entire supply chain of the real estate industry, including the landlord, resident, and the brokerage community."
