Just Ask Joe: Donnelly Helps Indianapolis Resident Get Health Insurance Reinstated
Congressional Documents & Publications
Granger, Ind. - U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly today released the latest installment of his "Just Ask Joe" video series, which highlights the many services available to Hoosiers from his office. Harriet Ross of Indianapolis contacted Senator Donnelly's office after employer ITT Tech closed and cancelled her insurance. Ms. Ross was unable to sign up for healthcare through the Health Insurance Marketplace because she had been without insurance for over 60 days, unaware she was not insured. Donnelly's office reached out to the Health Insurance Marketplace and, within a day, Ms. Ross was approved for a special enrollment period to sign up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act and have it retroactively cover her back to November 1st.
Donnelly encourages any Hoosier in need of assistance with a federal agency to contact his Indianapolis office at 317-226-5555. For more information about these and other services provided by Donnelly's office--including federal casework, veterans' resources, and applying for federal grants--please visit his website at www.donnelly.senate.gov/help.
