JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc. Announces Appointment of Ed Krayer as Senior Vice President

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- JLT Specialty Insurance Services Inc. (JLT Specialty USA), a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. (JLT), one of the world’s leading specialty-focused providers of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits related advice, brokerage and associated services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Krayer as Senior Vice President focusing on the private equity industry.

Krayer, who will be based in Boston, brings to JLT Specialty USA more than nine years of experience with leading private equity and asset management firms and providing specialized advisory and insurance placement services that enable firms to best manage risks across portfolios as well as at the fund level.

Krayer comes to JLT Specialty USA from EBS Capstone where he served as a partner. Prior to that, he spent six years at Aon Risk Solutions as vice president. Before joining the insurance industry, Ed enjoyed a fourteen-year career in professional sports, including a decade with the Boston Bruins and TD Garden. An avid hockey player himself, Krayer was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and then went on to play at Harvard, where he was a member of Harvard’s 1989 National Championship team. Krayer holds a B.A. in History from Harvard College.
