Hub International Acquires Alaskan-Based Pippel Insurance Agency, Inc.

Pippel fuels Hub’s presence on the ground in Alaska

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hub International Limited (Hub), a leading global insurance brokerage, announced today that it has acquired Pippel Insurance Agency, Inc. (Pippel), a multi-line insurance brokerage based in Palmer, Alaska. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Pippel will become part of the Hub International Northwest operations (Hub Northwest).

Pippel is a second generation agency and one of Alaska’s premier full-service insurance brokerages servicing the greater Anchorage and Matanuska-Susitna Valley market. The firm is led by Dan Crawford, CEO, and offers commercial and personal insurance, surety/bonding services, employee benefits and life insurance. Crawford will join Hub as Vice President of Operations and report to Steve Wagner, Senior Vice President, Alaska Market Leader, Hub Northwest.

Hub Northwest has worked with Alaskan-based customers for many years, and is dedicated to servicing the unique community needs of the Alaskan market. The firm has maintained an office in Anchorage since 2011 and is well versed in providing a full complement of insurance solutions.
