Every summer we survey companies and nonprofits to gather information on the previous year's cash and in-kind donations, as well as employees' volunteer hours during work time or through company-sponsored events.

More than 200 houseless people live at Pu'uhonua O Wai'anae, a self-organized community near the Wai'anae harbor. Through fundraising by their nonprofit, Dynamic Community Solutions, the group purchased nearly 20 acres of land in Wai'anae Valley and is now building permanent dwellings with communal kitchens and bathrooms, surrounded by land for growing food.
