Greenberg Traurig Shareholder William R. Clayton Participates in Panel at Insurance Business America’s Future of Flood Summit

William R. Clayton, a Fort Lauderdale shareholder and Co-Chair of the Real Estate Litigation Practice at international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., participated in a panel titled, "Managing Complex Flood Claims - Lessons from Harvey and Irma", at Insurance Business America's Future of Flood Summit, held in Miami on Nov. 16, 2017.

The session covered the influx of nearly $60 billion in claims that were reported after recent hurricanes Harvey and Irma, and explored risk and claim management strategies for complex claims following this year's storms. Panelists also discussed possible outlooks for policyholders given the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)'s new flood claims process and renewal grace period extension.

Clayton maintains a national civil trial practice, having tried more than 100 cases in state and federal courts, and has won more than $100 million in jury verdicts (for both plaintiff and defense).
