An investigation by police revealed that Snyder, who was solely responsible for payroll and managing the company's finances, made more than 1,700 unauthorized purchases dating from 2012 through August.
"Records indicate that Snyder wrote unauthorized checks related to wedding vendors for two of her daughters, insurance companies, utility companies and other utilities," according to a news release detailing the investigation.
Police say Snyder also forged 24 checks with Hardy's signature.
When asked about the purchases, Snyder told Hardy "she shouldn't have done it" and "you can have my whole 401(k), I don't want to go to jail," according to court records.
