Gravie Acquires Breitenfeldt Group, Adding Medicare Products to its Marketplace

PR Newswire

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Gravie, provider of a reinvented health benefits marketplace, announced today that it has acquired the Breitenfeldt Group, one of the largest Medicare brokerages in Minnesota.

Gravie has continuously added products to its benefits marketplace since the company was founded in 2013. Its offerings include health insurance, dental insurance, supplemental medical insurance, life insurance, health savings accounts, and now with the acquisition of Breitenfeldt — Medicare products.

"People over the age of 65 comprise the fastest growing segment of the population and the labor market," said Abir Sen, Gravie CEO and co-founder. "With this acquisition Gravie now has the capability to serve all individuals regardless of age, and also provide solutions to employers looking for affordable ways to provide coverage to their retirees and pre-retirees."

Dennis Breitenfeldt, founder and CEO of the Breitenfeldt Group, joins Gravie as Vice President of Medicare. "I am excited to join the team at Gravie. With Gravie's technology and consumer-oriented approach, combined with over a decade of Medicare experience at the Breitenfeldt Group, we will bring best-in-class solutions to Medicare-eligible folks across the country," said Dennis. "We are committed to continuing to provide the superior customer service that our 26,000 plus customers expect from us."

Gravie plans to keep all six Breitenfeldt offices open, including their headquarters in Long Prairie, Minnesota.

Gravie customers will be able to take advantage of the expanded set of products immediately, which include Medicare Cost and Medicare Advantage plans.
