When Syrian President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons, everyone, including Donald Trump and all the Republicans in the House and the Senate, protested this act of cruelty and asked, “How could he do this to his own people!” Now that the House Republicans have passed the incredibly hurtful Trumpcare, I have to ask the same thing: How could they do this to their own people?
Trump and the Republican representatives and senators in Congress are waging a full-out war on the poor, on the elderly, on women, on children and on the environment. They may not be using Sarin gas, but the result is the same: without affordable health insurance, people are going to die. And for what? Money. Trump and the Republicans will do anything to please the billion-dollar health insurance industry that pours millions of dollars into their election campaigns. So what if 27 million people lose their health insurance? The Republicans won’t lose their taxpayer-financed health insurance.
On May 25, we have the chance to make a dent in this army of fat-gator Republican politicians wallowing in the swamp that Trump has only made deeper, more brazen and more heartless. Please, please, vote for Democrat Rob Quist.
