SPRINGFIELD, NJ -- Springfield resident Maria Urmatan has been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer.
She does not have health insurance.
A GoFund Me page has been set up for Urmatan (click here) to help her pay for her medical expenses.
Urmatan is well-known in the community as someone who works behind the counter at the Dunkin' Donuts on Mountain Avenue. She is currently receiving chemotherapy and after treatment she will undergo a mastectomy.
"She knows everyone's name and order," said Denise Yannazzone, who has set up the GoFund Me page. "She is always quick with a smile and a cheery greeting."
