Feb. 16--Klaussner Outdoor named winner at 2017 ARTS Awards

ASHEBORO -- Klaussner Outdoor, a division of Klaussner Home Furnishings, was named the winner of the Outdoor Living category at the 28th ARTS Awards during a gala event held Jan. 20 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. The ARTS Awards is the premier international awards program for the home industry honoring manufacturers, retailers, designers and sales representatives. Launched in 2014, Klaussner Outdoor features a wide variety of products geared toward the upper half of the outdoor market with offerings in good, better and best categories.

Carolina Farm Credit donates to charities

STATESVILLE -- Carolina Farm Credit, its employees and board members donated $4,000 to local charities in 2016; $2,000 was collected by employees and board members who participated in a charity contribution throughout 2016 and Carolina Farm Credit matched the employee and director donations. Each of the company's 32 branch offices submitted a local charity choice and four charities were selected through a random drawing to divide the donations. Among those chosen to receive a $1,000 donation was Christians United Outreach Center in Asheboro.

Allen Tate celebrates best year in past decade

CHARLOTTE -- Allen Tate CEO Pat Riley shared company results at the company's annual award ceremony. The company reported $5.45 billion in closed sales volume for 2016, with 22,194 closed transactions. In addition,its mortgage division closed 1,726 loans totaling $330 million; its insurance division added 2,729 new customers and wrote 8,277 new policies; and its master title agency wrote 5,300 title commitments, totaling $2.5 million. A total of 700 Allen Tate Realtors achieved top performance levels during 2016, based on closed sales volume of $2 million to more than $100 million.

BB&T Capital Markets adds three senior investment bankers

RICHMOND, Va. -- BB&T Capital Markets announced the addition of three senior bankers to its investment banking team. David Keys, who spent a majority of his 20-year career in financial services, including 15 years in investment banking and merger and acquisitions, joins as managing director and head of the newly formed Healthcare Group. Dave Endom, with more than 15 years of investment banking and finance experience in several industries, joins as vice president in the Healthcare Group. Tim Lufkin, who brings more than 20 years of investment banking and sponsor coverage experience, joins as a managing director in the Financial Sponsors Group.
