Jun. 12--WEST BURLINGTON -- West Burlington Fire Department responded to a call last night at KPI Concepts at about 7:30 p.m.
According to West Burlington Fire Chief Shaun Ryan, the fire was started when wood chips caught up in a machine and friction caused a smoldering fire to start.
The fire was put out in about fire minutes using water fire extinguishers. Then firefighers took apart the machine to insure no other fires. The department left the scene at about 8:30 p.m.
Both Burlington and Danville Fire Departments were automatically paged to the scene. Both were called off when it was determined that the fire was easily handled.
