These unique programs offer a collaborative learning environment that allow participants to explore topics creatively, share best practices and learn from experts and each other to create high-value worksite wellness programs. FEI will present four sessions throughout the month of May:

May 5, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. CST
MRA-The Management Association
Waukesha, Wisconsin

May 11, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. CST
The Alliance

May 25, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. CST

Stevens Point, Wisconsin

FEI Senior Account Managers Michael McCafferty and Randy Kratz will present the learning session, "Expanding Employee and Organizational Resilience Through EAP Engagement." This informative and engaging workshop will help attendees understand how Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) have changed and the common stigma centered on EAP services. The session will discuss how to increase utilization, gain manager support and ultimately tie EAP to the well-being of the organization.

The workshop will explore:

  • EAP roots in occupational alcoholism as a workplace intervention.
  • Understanding EAP as a broad-brush resource for addressing multiple aspects of employee and organizational wellness.
  • Best practices for most effectively using EAP as a partner in a comprehensive wellness initiative.
  • Problem solving from an EAP-informed perspective by discussing scenarios and examples from actual real world experiences.

McCafferty, MSW, PHR, is a skilled coach and consultant who partners with leaders, teams and individuals, motivating them to move from disengaged to engaged, and from problem to solution. Since receiving his Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1997, McCafferty has provided consultation, training, counseling and EAP services to organizations of all sizes in industries as varied as manufacturing, financial services, state and municipal government and higher education. With a diverse background including experience in healthcare, human resources and construction, he has a long track record and personal commitment to helping organizations create the conditions for success.

Kratz, MS, LCSW, LPC, is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed professional counselor in the State of Wisconsin and has worked as both a counselor and a supervisor in outpatient and hospital settings for more than 15 years. He has been a workplace consultant for over 20 years providing employers and employees with assistance for stress and conflict management, organizational change, substance abuse and other organizational challenges affecting people. Kratz is an experienced adult educator and has presented at many conferences and workshops throughout the Midwest. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology.
