Federal Reserve bank president to participate in business climate town hall in Chippewa Falls

Oct. 4—Neel Kashkari, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will participate in a town hall on Oct. 21 at the Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls.

The town hall will focus on challenges and opportunities businesses of all sizes and industries face in today's economy. Kashkari wants to learn about the experiences of businesses in the Chippewa Valley.

"This event provides local businesses with a rare opportunity to share their perspectives on the economic landscape and engage in a dialogue about how current conditions are impacting their operations," the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce said in a press release Thursday.

The town hall will take place at the Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls on Monday, Oct. 21.

The open forum event is designed to help the Federal Reserve better understand the economic conditions in western Wisconsin and how they might impact the broader economy.

"Kashkari is eager to hear directly from business owners, managers, and community members about their experiences," the release said.

"This is an invaluable opportunity for our local business community to provide insight into the issues affecting their industries," she said. "We encourage all businesses — whether large or small, from any industry — to attend and make their voices heard."

Business owners, managers and professionals from across the region are encouraged to participate.

Doors will open to the event at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 21. A light lunch begins at 12 p.m. and the one-hour program begins at 12:30 p.m. Registration is required before Oct. 11 at chippewachamber.org.
