Farm risk management program, dinner tonight in Fauquier
Culpeper Star-Exponent (VA)
The Farm Credit Knowledge Center will kick off its 2024 Star Insights Series tonight with a risk management dinner meeting at the Fauquier Livestock Exchange in Marshall. Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m.
Star Insights Series, a free offering from Farm Credit Knowledge Center, for February will feature Ralph Stickman, a Farm Credit crop insurance agent. Participants can interact with Stickman as he shares strategies to mitigate risk and real-life scenarios.
"Every farm, regardless of size, must understand the tools and services available to them to mitigate risk," said Kyley Clevenger, Knowledge Center Director. "This event is designed to help farmers grow their knowledge of risk management tools and enhance their ability to implement those practices.
"They will also enjoy networking with other farmers and discussing real-life scenarios. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions in the group setting or in one-on-one interactions with the speaker," Clevenger said.
