e-TeleQuote Insurance, Inc. (https://www.etelequote.com) is pleased to announce Randy Birchfield has been named its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Birchfield brings 20 years of executive experience in the insurance industry to the company focused on helping people with their Medicare needs.

Before joining e-TeleQuote as COO, Birchfield served as President, CEO, and COO of Protective Insurance. His long history in the insurance industry also includes senior leadership roles at Allstate Insurance Company, Farmers Insurance Company, American International Group, Progressive Insurance Company and others. He has also exercised his leadership skills to perform crisis management consulting with Deloitte & Touche and to serve as CEO for two troubled manufacturing businesses.

Birchfield is a United States Military Academy (West Point) graduate with more than 5 years of service in the United States Army. In addition, he has an MA in Managerial Economics from University of Oklahoma, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Of his move to e-TeleQuote, Birchfield says, "I'm excited to move into the distribution side of the insurance business. The Medicare market is uniquely attractive to me. With the changing demographics, more and more people need help with Medicare and I am eager to take on that challenge. Moving back to my hometown is a nice bonus as well."
