DSCC Issues Statement on GOP Efforts to Repeal Individual Mandate Through Their Tax Plan

In response to reports that Republicans are trying to repeal the individual mandate through their tax plan, which the CBO estimates will spike premiums and cause millions of Americans to lose their health insurance, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement:

"Republicans won't let an opportunity to sabotage health care and spike premiums pass them by - even when that opportunity is an already embattled tax plan.

"Instead of ignoring the lessons learned last night, they should work with Democrats on a real solution to cut taxes for the middle class and make health care affordable."
