Douglas apartment building hit by fire; residents get out OK

"It's 2 in the morning, and it's dark," the chief said of challenges firefighters faced. "Our water system was working (well). We had a good turnout of firefighters. Mutual aid was remarkable. And we had a number of chiefs here helping us" respond to the complicated, cut up and old building.
"It's the type of building where people can get hurt -- firefighters can get hurt -- but we managed to keep that from happening,"
