DANBURY — Farmers Insurance – Dennis Perkins is inviting you and everyone to the annual Flag Day ceremony on June 14. The ceremony is being held at 30 Germantown Road starting at 4 pm in honor of United States veterans for their sacrifice and their service to their country.
As part of the festivities, Farmers – Dennis Perkins Agency is also offering a “Free Flag Replacement” during the holiday event. Any old, damaged or worn-out American flag can be traded in and exchanged for a brand-new 3’ x 5’ flag completely free of charge. All the old flags turned in will be properly and respectfully disposed of. An old flag must be brought in to receive a new replacement.
Mayor Dean Esposito will also be in attendance at the ceremony along with Shay Nagersheth, head of Danbury’s Economic Department, and the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs, Tom Saadi — ready to meet the attendees, chat, and take photos.
“My thanks to Dennis Perkins and his team at Farmers Insurance for holding this Annual Flag Day ceremony, as it is our US flag that stands for the principles of democracy and freedom enshrined in our Constitution and protected by the service and sacrifice of the men and women in our Armed Forces for nearly 250 years,” said Veterans Affairs Commissioner Thomas Saadi.
Light refreshments will be catered by Jersey Mike’s and music entertainment provided by DJ Ron Ice. Come down to meet the veterans, chat with your elected officials, and have your old flags replaced with new ones ready to serve for years to come.
