CHICAGO, IL – Dearborn National Life Insurance Company has introduced a new service called DearbornCares, which allows eligible life insurance beneficiaries to receive an immediate, advance payment of up to $10,000 of their claim check—within 48 hours of confirmation--to help cover imminent expenses like funerals and medical bills.
DearbornCares allows Dearborn National to provide a level of care to beneficiaries that is unique in the group insurance marketplace.
“We developed DearbornCares because we know that losing a loved one can be emotionally and financially overwhelming,” said Mike Witwer, Chief Operating Officer of Dearborn National.
“Our beneficiaries often tell us that when they receive their claim check, a heavy burden is lifted and they have one less thing to worry about. We took this feedback to heart and decided to speed up our process of getting claim checks to our beneficiaries.”
DearbornCares highlights:
• Pays up to $10,000 of Employer-Paid Basic Life insurance claims
• Check is mailed within 48 hours of confirmation
• Available for covered employees and retirees
• Applies to claims with 1 or 2 named beneficiaries
• No death certificate required
“While we know this service won’t fix everything, we hope it makes a difficult time a little easier and shows our customers how much we care,” Witwer said.
