The application deadline for the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Disaster Assistance Program for Hurricane Dorian-related damages has been extended to Oct. 25, according to a county media release.
Applications are accepted by appointment only. The SHIP Disaster Assistance Program is funded through the State of Florida Housing Finance Corporation from the Sadowski Housing Trust Fund. The program is intended to assist single family homeowners with critical repairs and homeowner insurance deductibles for Dorian-related damages, the release states.
"This is good news," said SHIP Administrator Ralston Reodica in the release. "It gives our residents an extra week to apply."
Assistance is available to income-eligible homeowners in Flagler County who meet program guidelines. Assistance will be provided on a first-qualified, first-served basis with priority to households with special needs, seniors or lower income.
To schedule an application appointment, call Devrie Paradowski at 386-586-2324 option 5, or email [email protected] with any questions regarding the SHIP programs.
