DCCC: Key Vote Alert: Mimi Walters Votes for Reckless Republican Health Care Bill

WASHINGTON, March 9 -- The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee issued the following news release:

Representative Mimi Walters just voted for the reckless Republican health care bill as a member of the House Energy & Commerce Committee. The bill has garnered widespread opposition from groups across the ideological spectrum, including AARP, the American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association, and the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare.

Representative Mimi Walters voted for the reckless Republican health care bill even though the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has not yet said how much it will cost, how much it will increase the deficit, or how many Americans will lose their health insurance.

DCCC spokesperson Tyler Law released the following statement:

"Congresswoman Walters is now on the record in favor of jacking up health insurance premiums and ripping away coverage from millions so that Republicans can cuts taxes for health insurance CEO's.
