A woman was charged with DUI on Tuesday after officers found that she had crashed in a vehicle in South Windsor that was left missing a tire.
Alysah M. Rodriguez, 25, of West Hartford was charged with operating under suspension, operating without minimum insurance, failure to drive in the proper lane, possession of a controlled substance and operating under the influence, according to the South Windsor Police Department.
Police arrested Rodriguez at 2:14 a.m. after an officer found a vehicle that appeared to have crashed in the area of Route 5 and Interstate 291, according to police. The vehicle was missing its front driver’s side tire.
Police said an officer believed Rodriguez, the driver, was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She reportedly failed multiple field sobriety tests before police allegedly found a small baggie of cocaine during the arrest.
Rodriguez was taken into custody and later released on a $1,000 non-surety bond. She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 6.
