Crew helpless to prevent plane crash that killed Richland Marine, report says
The cause of a military cargo plane crash that killed a
Marine Sgt.
Military investigators concluded that during a propeller blade overhaul in 2011 corrosion was not removed as it should have been.
A crack developed in the corroded blade, and the blade broke off as the plane was flying at 20,000 feet.
