Corrupt Carlos 'Stands With Trump' on Repealing Affordable Care Act
Targeted News Service (Press Releases)
WASHINGTON, Aug. 29 -- The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee issued the following news release:
Last night, news broke that Corrupt Carlos Gimenez "stands with Trump" on the President's plan to gut protections for pre-existing conditions, hike health care costs, and institute an Age Tax even during a global pandemic.
Corrupt Carlos' support of Trump's plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act is dangerous and reckless, but not all too surprising. After all, as Miami-Dade mayor, Corrupt Carlos eliminated the county's Healthcare Planning Department, which closed on the same day the ACA's health care exchanges opened, making it more difficult for his constituents to enroll and get coverage.
"As President Trump works to repeal the Affordable Care Act and kick millions of Floridians off their health insurance in the middle of a global pandemic, it is utterly disqualifying that Corrupt Carlos Gimenez would sign onto this agenda," said DCCC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. "Voters want a representative in Congress who will have their backs and work to build on the Affordable Care Act, not rip it away. Corrupt Carlos can't be trusted with South Florida family's health care."
