Players Championship canceled after one round
The PGA Tour announced late Thursday that it was canceling the remaining three rounds of The Players Championship at the TPC Sawgrass Players Stadium Course due to coronavirus concerns.
The Tour played the first round on Thursday with fans present, with an announcement at noon that it would play the next three rounds without fans.
Other major league sports delayed, suspended or canceled activities, including MLB NHL and MLS.

Stopping visitors at nursing homes is now the new normal
The state has ordered long-term care facilities to block people from visiting residents if they've recently traveled abroad, been on a cruise ship or been in contact with someone who has the coronavirus, or COVID-19.
Some have gone a significant step forward and stopped virtually all in-person visits from family members and friends until the threat has passed.
