Congresswoman Adams Statement on the Confirmation of Representative Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Services
Congressional Documents & Publications
Washington, D.C.--Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement after the confirmation of Representative Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
"American's have spoken and the overwhelming majority wants to protect their affordable healthcare," said Congresswoman Adams. "Congressman Price's desire to repeal the Affordable Care Act, privatize Medicare, cut Medicaid, and roll back women's access to health care contradicts their wishes. His confirmation as Secretary of Health and Human Services only serves as another example of how out of touch President Trump and Senate Republicans are with the will of the people. Illness does not discriminate based on gender, race, or political affiliation nor should our healthcare systems."
