Congressional Candidate Eble Stumps for Ethics and Action

Business Wire

GARNET VALLEY, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Since throwing her hat in the ring, Julie Eble, Democratic Candidate for the U.S. Representative seat in District 5, has been on a tear. After Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court finalized the map, Eble and her team of volunteers crisscrossed Delaware County from Rose-Tree to mid-County with several stops in Concord-Bethel. Along with the burgeoning group of other candidates, she’s been shaking hands and talking with voters. The calendar for the next two weeks is brimming with stops in Newtown Square, Drexel Hill, Chester, South Philadelphia, Havertown, Lower Merion and Aston, but Eble plans to add more.

Eble, 64, is a Ph.D. chemist from Villanova University and award-winning entrepreneur. After a successful career at DuPont she started her own regulatory and staffing company, Critical Path Services, in Garnet Valley, Delaware County. She grew the company to about 100 staff, sold it and retired in 2016 to volunteer for the American Chemical Society. But, along with so many others, Eble has heard a call-to-action.

“Until this past Presidential election, I was a fairly apolitical Republican,” Eble says. “I was content to vote and discuss the issues of day with friends and family. But Trump changed that. His repeated lies, his deliberate polarization of the country, and his disrespect and mistreatment of Hillary Clinton, scientists, intelligence officers, women in general – these were all slaps in the face. Slaps that woke me up.”

Eble is now a proud Democrat running to bring ethics, courage, and action back into our government. “The destructive partisanship in Congress is fueled by a tidal wave of Trump-ish nonsense,” Eble says. “He has Pruitt disemboweling the EPA. No sane person with State Department experience will sign up for jobs. And the White House is overflowing with inexperienced people without proper security clearances. But saddest to me are Congressmen like Nunes and others- the Trump-loyal henchmen who don’t just sheepishly refuse to stand up for our democracy but who are actively tearing it down.”

So Eble is doing her civic duty. She speaks out for ethics in politics, gun control and fair immigration laws. She promotes affordable health care for all. She is “stumping for sanity” in the face of skyrocketing national debt. And, along with colleagues, she is marching for science.

Catch up with Eble here.
