Targeted News Service

WASHINGTON, Jan. 9 -- Clark Hill, a law firm, issued the following news:

Clark Hill PLC today announced the addition of Brian Della Rocca to the firm as senior counsel in its Washington, DC office, in the Tax and Estate Planning Group. He joins the firm from private practice where he represented clients in Trusts and Estates matters.

John Round, Co- leader of Clark Hill's Tax and Estate Planning Group said, "Brian brings an impressive and high quality technical ability to the practice, with both an LL.M. in Taxation and certification in Employee Benefits." Round added, "Brian will be a significant asset to our clients and to Clark Hill in advancing the firm's strategy to expand capabilities across the country in complex tax and business succession planning."

Della Rocca's practice is focused on counseling clients on comprehensive estate planning and business succession services, including probate and trust administration, fiduciary litigation, drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and business formation, organization, and maintenance. He is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics and has published articles in numerous estate and financial planning publications.

"We welcome Brian to the Washington office," said Charles Spies, Member-in-Charge of the Washington, D.C. office. "He will enhance our practice depth in the D.C. office in a targeted area for our expanding client base of both high net worth individuals and businesses."

Della Rocca received his B.A. from the State University of New York College at Oneonta, his J.D. from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and an LL.M. degree in Taxation with a Certificate in Employee Benefits from the Georgetown University Law Center. He currently serves on the St. Elizabeth Catholic School Advisory Board where he chairs the Marketing and Development Committee.

"Clark Hill's Tax and Estate Planning Group provides an ideal national platform to expand my practice, and focus on the firm's core strengths in complex tax, estate and succession services," said Della Rocca.

Founded in 1890, Clark Hill has been significantly expanding since 2013, beginning with the addition of 100 lawyers from Thorp Reed & Armstrong. In 2017, the firm merged with Los Angeles-based Morris Polich & Purdy LLP, adding some 100 lawyers, and in 2018 the firm combined with Texas-based Strasburger & Price, adding 200 more lawyers in Texas, New York, Washington, D.C. and Mexico City.
