CitiusTech reported that William Winkenwerder, Jr., MD has been appointed to the company's board of directors.
In a release, the Company noted that most recently, Dr. Winkenwerder served as chief executive officer of Highmark.
Dr. Winkenwerder is a recognized leader in the US healthcare, and is recognized as a health industry expert in health insurance operations, integrated delivery, federal policy and economics and health information technology. From 2001 to 2007, Dr. Winkenwerder served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs in the United States Department of Defense where he led the medical support programs for Military Health System.
Rizwan Koita, chief executive officer of CitiusTech, said, "It is a privilege for us to have Dr. Winkenwerder join our board.
