Myers: Medicare and Medicaid make up approximately 43 percent of Hamilton's net revenue, but Medicare and Medicaid revenues do not cover any hospital's full cost to provide services. The Affordable Care Act has provided coverage for some individuals but payments are not such to materially affect charity care write offs.
