Carolina Casualty Now Offering the Lytx DriveCam Program to its Truck Fleet Clients

PR Newswire

SAN DIEGO, June 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lytx™, Inc., the global leader in video-based driver safety technology, today announced that Carolina Casualty, a W. R. Berkley Company® and a leader in the commercial transportation insurance industry, is offering the Lytx DriveCam™ program to its insured clients. Lytx DC Enterprise™ and Lytx DC Protect™ programs are available to Carolina Casualty clients at significantly subsidized rates, allowing clients to achieve savings of up to 70 percent of the program cost.

"Carolina Casualty has been offering the DriveCam® Program to our customers for more than a year. We are excited to partner with Lytx and firmly believe that the DriveCam product can lead to a significant improvement in safe-driving practices and claim outcomes. Our belief is so strong that we provide our customers who take advantage of this technology with a substantial subsidy toward the cost [and in some cases improved policy structure]. The value proposition to both our policyholders and Carolina Casualty is powerful and we're proud to make an investment in this technology," said John Woods, Carolina Casualty's Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer.

"We are extremely pleased to partner with Carolina Casualty, a leading insurance carrier in the trucking industry, and we appreciate their recognition of the impact of the DriveCam Program in fleet safety and driver performance," said Eliot Feldstein, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development for Lytx. "Carolina Casualty's substantial cost-sharing underscores their commitment to putting leading technology affordably in the hands of their insured fleets."

"Our relationship with Carolina Casualty began with successful market experiences together and we believe the offering of the DriveCam Program will enhance both companies' aims of improving safe-driving practices and reducing claims costs," continued Feldstein.

The DC Enterprise program is Lytx's most comprehensive safety program enabling operators to manage and coach all enrolled drivers in their fleet. A streamlined DC Protect program is also available and enables operators to coach the drivers who will most benefit from coaching while still protecting all drivers from false claims.

The Lytx DriveCam Program helps prevent collisions, reduce injuries and save lives by combining video with predictive analytics, real-time driver feedback and coaching, empowering fleets to identify and correct driving behaviors that could lead to collisions. Lytx's comprehensive program includes best practices benchmarking by industry, as well as access to subject matter experts who aid in minimizing financial, operational, legal, and driver risk. The program combines an innovative, open architecture with an upgradable technology platform and proprietary analytics. As the only provider that has deployed its solutions fleet-wide to organizations with enterprise-scaled fleets, Lytx has developed proven industry-leading methodologies to positively transform fleet organizations effectively and deliver return on in as little as six months of program launch.
