CAP receives flood relief funding
CAP was notified of the award's availability last Thursday and had to respond by Friday. With help from city and county officials who promptly provided needed statistical data, the agency was able to get he application processed in less than 24 hours.

"The money will be available to us this week and we'll be able to start working with the city and the county to identify those individuals that need assistance," Lanning said.
The money is specifically designated to those who have been affected by storms and flooding in the area.
"We'll be working with those individuals to make sure that if they have housing needs -- it's all for housing needs -- if they have utility issues, if they have housing repairs not covered by insurance or if they didn't have insurance, those are the type of things we can help them with," Lanning said.
She added that
"It really shows taxpayers and voters that we have people here that are dedicated to serving their needs," Lanning said.
