LOS ANGELES, June 13 -- The California Democratic Party issued the following news release:
California Democratic Party Chair Eric C. Bauman today urged California'sUnited States Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris to take all necessary actions to stop Senate Republicans from passing their secret backroom repeal of Obamacare.
"This is barbaric. Democrats must stand up and fight the Republican sneak attack on Obamacare," said Chair Bauman, a registered nurse. "Employers will stop offering coverage. Families will go bankrupt from medical bills. People will die because they can't afford medical care. We must stop this cruel and cynical legislation."
Chair Bauman reiterated his call to action in an email to California Democrats, urging them to contact Senator Feinstein and Senator Harris to urge them to use whatever options are available to them to stop the Obamacare repeal being written in secret by 12 men in the Republican Caucus.
Multiple media outlets have reported that Senate Republicans plan on taking up their Obamacare repeal as early as next week without disclosing the contents to the public.
