Business continuity planning is key to the survival of any organization, particularly in the face of the unprecedented number of exposures businesses face today. But what are the basic factors to consider when developing a plan? And how does having a plan enable organizations to conduct better risk assessments? Using case studies, these experienced session leaders will demonstrate how you can use current best practices to determine key risk areas and conduct business impact analyses.

Pete is an executive trusted adviser and enterprise risk manager. He specializes in cybersecurity risk and insurance, consulting as both a licensed insurance agent and chief information security officer. This broad skill range is certified via his CPCU, CISSP, and CITP professional certifications. He is available to assist both corporate and non-profit organizations to ensure that they understand their exposure, manage it effectively, and are equipped to financially recover. Pete often leads assessment efforts to develop actionable plans to mitigate risk focusing on information technology system processes, portfolio, and managed service vendor changes. Pete is also an adjunct professor with a history of guest lecturing and mentoring executives on cybersecurity risk awareness.

* Bryan Tedford, CPCU / ARM, Managing Director, BOLT, Inc.

Bryan Tedford is a CPCU with a diversity of skills and an extensive background in international insurance and cross-functional team management. Bryan has over 30 years' experience in underwriting and risk management for global Property and Casualty exposures ranging from product liability exposures in the US to cyber and terrorism coverage in Europe to catastrophic earthquake coverage in Australasia. He held senior executive positions with AIG, ACE Insurance, St Paul, and the Insurance Australia Group. He is currently a member on the advisory board for the University of Georgia Department of Risk Management and Insurance and for the NY Chapter of CPCU. He is past National VP for the CPCU Society, past President of the European CPCU Chapter, and past Chair of the Insurance Council of New Zealand. He holds both the Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) professional designation. Mr. Tedford earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia.
