BETHLEHEM-WOODBURY — Voters approved the proposed 2022-23 Region 14 budget by a vote of 522 to 384.
The vote was by referendum on Tuesday, May 3, in both towns. Bethlehem voters cast 100 yes votes to 115 no votes. Woodbury voters cast 422 yes votes to 269 no votes.
The total budget is $38,640,279, a 2.44% increase over the current year. A breakdown of the budget is: Certified Salaries, 44.26%; Classified Salaries, 11.90%; Employee Benefits, 15.84%; Purchased Services: Non Instructional, 10.24%;
Purchased Services: Instructional, 6.23%; Debt Service and Liability Insurance, 7.33%; Capital Outlay, 1.38%; Supplies and Materials: Instructional, 1.60%, and Supplies & Materials: Non Instructional, 1.22%.
