Chicago Tribune (IL)
Feb. 12--A man and a 2-year-old were injured early Sunday in a car crash in the Robert Taylor Homes neighborhood.
Police said a 26-year-old man driving a 2002 Ford Mustang rear-ended a semi-truck that was stopped at a red light near the 3900 block of South LaSalle Street about 2:50 a.m.
The car was pinned under the rear of the semi up to the windshield, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The toddler was taken to Comer Children's Hospital and the 26-year-old driver was taken to Stroger Hospital. They each are in stable condition, police said. The truck driver was not injured.
The 26-year-old was cited for failing to reduce speed, driving on a suspended license and for not having proof of insurance.
No further details were immediately available.
