BRIEF: Columbia Valley Community Health hires new CEO

June 30--WENATCHEE -- A former executive with Confluence Health is the new chief executive officer at Columbia Valley Community Health.
David Olson replaces Patrick Bucknum, who has been CEO since 2010. Bucknum is taking a job as chief executive officer of the Community Clinic Contracting Network. He will remain in Wenatchee.
Olson earned a master of health administration from the University of Washington with a concentration in finance, according to a press release from the health clinic. He has 30 years experience in senior leadership in health care. Most recently he was vice president and service line director at Confluence Health in Wenatchee, where he was responsible for operations of the family medicine departments.
Olson has served as president of the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, the Washington Rural Health Association and the Rural Health Clinic Association of Washington.
Columbia Valley Community Health serves 26,000 patients at clinics in Wenatchee, East Wenatchee and Chelan. About 22 percent of the clinic's funding comes from federal grants for the uninsured. The remainder is revenue from patients and insurance companies.
